Nestled in Burundi’s Kayanza Province, a region celebrated for its exceptional coffee, the story of Incuti coffee begins where the lush Kibira Rainforest meets the Congo-Nile divide. Spanning the mountainous Northwest, Kibira National Park offers a unique, cooler microclimate, which infuses Incuti coffee with its distinctive character. This natural harmony between the land and the bean creates a flavor that mirrors the vibrant richness of the region itself.
The producer, a former Cup of Excellence winner in Burundi, discovered JNP Coffee’s Dushime premium program through the recommendation of friends in another province. Inspired, he sought out the program for his group of coffee farmers, knowing the potential and also envisioning a brighter future for his community. True to its name, Incuti — meaning “friend” in Kirundi — embodies a spirit of connection and shared purpose, uniting 400 producers in a quest for quality and sustainability, in perfect harmony.
